What is a casement?
Casement windows are a more traditional design which have the window actually attached to the frame, which in itself is generally larger and more ornate. Casements are hinged windows which can be opened inwards or outwards depending on design. Although the security systems on casement windows tend to be simple, they are very secure and robust nonetheless.
